Welcome to Shekhawati Printers (shekhawatiprinters.in). By placing a commercial order, requesting quotations, or submitting digital artwork to Shekhawati Printers (F-93, Kartarpura, Bais Godam, Jaipur, Rajasthan 302006), you agree to be bound by the commercial trade terms and production conditions set forth below. These terms apply to all custom manufacturing contracts, purchase orders, and B2B print deliveries.
1. Quotations, Pricing & Order Acceptance
- Validity of Quotations: Because paper, board, and metal CTP plate raw material costs fluctuate in national commodity markets, official written quotations are valid for 15 calendar days from the date of issue unless specified otherwise.
- Minimum Order Quantities (MOQ): Offset printing relies on industrial make-ready setup, plate imaging, and ink run adjustments. Minimum order quantities apply to all product lines (e.g., 1,000 for visiting cards, packaging cartons, and flyers; 100 books for NCR invoices). Custom runs below standard MOQs are priced on minimum batch charge.
- Order Confirmation: An order is deemed confirmed only upon receipt of the mutually agreed purchase order or written approval alongside required advance payment and finalized artwork sign-off.
2. Artwork Specifications & Prepress Proofing
- File Formats: Print-ready files should be submitted in high-resolution PDF/X-1a, Adobe Illustrator (.AI), CorelDRAW (.CDR with converted curves), or EPS format with all fonts converted to outlines and images embedded at a minimum of 300 DPI.
- Bleed & Margin Allowance: Artwork must include a minimum 3mm bleed on all outer edges and maintain a 4mm safety margin inside the cut line to ensure critical typography is not clipped during high-speed hydraulic shearing.
- Proof Approval Responsibility: We provide digital soft proofs (PDF) or machine proofs upon request before imaging CTP plates. The client is solely responsible for proofreading copy text, spelling, telephone numbers, GSTIN details, tabular figures, and dimensional orientation. Once written or digital approval is granted, Shekhawati Printers is not liable for typographical errors present in the approved proof.
3. Color Reproduction & Tolerances
- CMYK vs. RGB: Offset lithography uses physical CMYK inks. Computer monitors, mobile screens, and cameras operate in RGB transmitted light. Colors displayed on non-calibrated screens may look slightly different from ink absorbed on coated art paper or raw Kraft board. Files submitted in RGB or Pantone will be converted to process CMYK unless dedicated Pantone spot ink units are contracted.
- Industry Tolerances: While our Heidelberg and Komori presses maintain strict density control, slight color variations (±5% Delta-E) are standard across different paper batches, weather humidity, and substrate finishes (such as matte lamination or UV coating).
4. Manufacturing Tolerances & Overs/Unders
Due to the mechanical nature of offset plate registration, sheet make-ready, and bindery trimming, standard commercial printing trade custom allows an overrun or underrun tolerance of up to ±3% to 5% of the ordered quantity. Invoicing is adjusted pro-rata, or the overage is supplied complimentary depending on the contract terms.
5. Payment Terms & GST Invoicing
- Payment Terms: For custom commercial manufacturing, a 50% advance deposit is standard prior to plate making and raw paper cutting, with the remaining balance payable upon completion prior to factory dispatch or collection, unless approved credit terms exist.
- Tax Invoices: All transactions are billed through official Tax Invoices compliant with the Central Goods and Services Tax (CGST) and State Goods and Services Tax (SGST) acts. Valid GSTIN numbers must be provided prior to invoice generation for claiming input tax credit (ITC).
- Taxes: Unless explicitly stated as inclusive, government GST rates (currently 12% or 18% depending on the specific HSN classification of the printed article) are charged additionally.
6. Turnaround, Delivery & Transit
- Turnaround Times: Production lead times commence on the business day following final artwork approval and advance payment confirmation. Stated turnaround times are realistic estimates, but may be subject to force majeure, power grid delays, or regional transport disruptions.
- Dispatch & Freight: Orders are dispatched from our Bais Godam manufacturing plant in Jaipur. Local delivery within Jaipur or freight shipping to Rajasthan districts (Sikar, Jhunjhunu, Chomu, Kota, Udaipur, Jodhpur, Bikaner, etc.) or nationwide is arranged via verified third-party road transport carriers. Freight charges are billed at actuals unless freight-paid terms are agreed.
- Transit Risk: Goods travel under the carrier's standard transit terms. While we pack all shipments in heavy corrugated master cartons with plastic strapping and moisture-barrier shrink wrap, any external transit damage must be endorsed on the transporter's consignment receipt immediately upon delivery.
7. Quality Claims, Rejections & Reprints
- Inspection Window: The client must inspect received goods within 48 hours of delivery. Any claims regarding printing defects, finishing errors, or quantity shortages must be reported in writing with clear photographic or video evidence within this period.
- Reprint Remedy: If a defect is verified to have originated from manufacturing error contrary to the approved proof, Shekhawati Printers will rectify and reprint the defective portion at our cost within standard turnaround time. Liability is strictly limited to the replacement value of the defective printed goods and does not extend to consequential business losses or delayed event dates.
8. Intellectual Property & Legal Indemnification
The client warrants and guarantees that they own, possess valid licenses for, or have full legal authorization to reproduce all trademarks, logos, registered brand names, proprietary copy, and photographic assets submitted for printing. The client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Shekhawati Printers, its partners, and employees against any third-party claims, trademark infringement lawsuits, copyright disputes, or statutory penalties arising from material printed on behalf of the client.
9. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
All commercial transactions, quotations, and contracts between Shekhawati Printers and its clients are governed exclusively by the laws of India. Any disputes or claims arising out of or in connection with printing orders shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India.
